The Orphanage and The Corpse Bride

Los alumnos de Español 2 watched the Spanish movie "El Orfanato" during the Halloween week.

It is a very scare movie with some jumpy scenes...

Present tense of -AR verbs

There are three groups of verbs in Spanish: those ending in AR, those ending in ER and those ending in IR.

We are going to learn how to conjugate the present tense of the first group, the AR verbs.

First, you have to drop the ending of the infinitive (drop -AR) and then, add the endings for each subject.

El Día de los Muertos

El Día de los muertos se celebra el 1 y el 2 de noviembre.

For Mexicans, death is another stage of life; it is not something we have to fear. Even though their loved ones left for the earth, their souls will remain here forever.

Day of the Dead is a funny and colourful celebration, where people honour and remember their beloved relatives who passed away.
